According to a recent report from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS),

U.S. national healthcare spending is projected to have done the following in 2014:

• Grown 5.5%, up from 4.0% between 2008 and 2013
• Reached $3.1 trillion
• Cost $9,695 per person
