Republican health care plan includes crushing Obamacare

After dozens of failed attempts Republicans will vote again to repeal Obamacare.

plan is devoted to getting rid of Obamacare. If Republicans succeed, they plan to implement modest adjustments intended to reduce the cost of health care.

After dozens of failed attempts to repeal Obamacare, this coming Friday, Republicans will once again hold another vote to repeal Obamacare.

But this time Republican politicians are using a different approach. The GOP drafted a bill H.R. 2009 that will stop the IRS from implementing Obamacare.

Do Republican politicians have an alternative plan to Obamacare? The answer is partly yes and partly no.

The Republican health care plan consists of:

1) Making it difficult for patients to sue for malpractice or capping damage awards.

Americans have the right to sue their doctor for malpractice, which can result from a mistake or negligence. Therefore, physicians must carry malpractice insurance, which is extremely expensive. The high cost of covering the doctor is passed on to their patients, increasing the cost of care.

Everyone on the face of this earth is aware that health care in the USA is beyond expensive. That's why if an individual suffers the consequences of malpractice, that mistake could easily end up costing an individual millions of dollars over the span of that person’s life.

This explains why juries award such high sums of money for malpractices cases. In the USA, big cash is required to cover future health care costs and related expenses.

·         If every American had guaranteed health care coverage, then covering future costs related to malpractice would no longer be an issue.

2) Remove state boundaries that will allow health care insurance to be purchased anywhere in the USA.

Because health insurance costs do not greatly vary across state lines, allowing the purchase of health insurance across state lines will only modestly decrease insurance prices.

Plus it's a proven fact that the vast majority of Americans cannot afford the cost of paying independently for quality health care insurance. That’s why most Americans accept what their employer offers, if their employer can afford to present health care coverage as a fringe benefit.

3) Expand HSA (Health Savings Account)

HSA's are wonderful if you have buckets of extra cash to put away for health emergencies.

However, the annual US median income for a family of four is around $50,000 - $60,000 and the cost of health care treatment in the United States is outrageously expensive. Hence the need for buckets of extra cash if HSA's are expanded as a solution to America's health care crisis.

If politicians do not directly address the problem of high cost, this allows for rationing of health care to continue, based on how much money one has to pay for health care.

So the question remains; how do hard working American families deposit enough money into an HSA, when these families are barely making ends meet?

4) Stopping insurance companies from denying care based on pre-existing conditions.

Concerning children, health insurance companies can no longer deny payment for pre-existing conditions, thanks to Obamacare. This law will also become effective for adults in 2014.

5) Permanently deny taxpayer funded abortions.

The Hyde Amendment prohibits taxpayer funded abortions via Medicaid. This law has been intact since 1977.

Republican politicians said no to the public option.

President Obama and the majority of Americans wanted the public option, which is a single payer plan of health care.

All were denied the public option because too many politicians, both Republican and a few Democrats, decided to ignore the pleas of the majority.

Financially Sound Corporations vs. Healthy Population

It's vital to any economy to ensure corporations remain financially sound. With this in mind, it’s no secret that Republican politicians support and protect corporate interest, before safeguarding hard working Americans from corporate abuse. This creates numerous problems for the people, who are then at the mercy of corporate greed.

The Trickle Down Effect

All politicians should understand that fair, affordable health care access, including uninhibited mental health care access, produces healthier citizens. This trickles down to create a healthier society as a whole.

·         It should be glaringly obvious that healthy citizens create a safer, and more productive society, which also results in less drag on the economy.

In the United States, the health care industries are raking in loads cash. This system of corporate profit is a direct result of gouging Americans, who lack legal protections that other countries have in place to control health care costs.
