18% Enrollment Medicaid Growth Expected in FY 2015 (States Expanding Medicaid Under the ACA)

According to a October 2014 issue brief by the Kaiser Family Foundation, the following FY 2015 Medicaid growth supported by federal funds is expected.

• 18.3% total Medicaid spending growth (Expansion States)
• 4.4% state Medicaid spending growth (Expansion States)
• 5.2% enrollment Medicaid growth (Non-Expansion States)
• 6.5% total Medicaid spending growth (Non-Expansion States)
• 6.8% state Medicaid spending growth (Non-Expansion States)

Note: 50-State Survey Finds ACA and Delivery System Reforms are Primary Focus for State Medicaid Programs in FY 2014 and FY 2015.
