The Deloitte Center for Health Solutions recently conducted a survey on healthcare information technology use among Americans. Here are some key findings from the report:

22% of respondents
used technology to access, store and transmit health records in the last year.
·
The number of respondents
who went online for cost information rose from 11% in 2013 to 16%.
·
71% of all those
surveyed said they have not gone online for cost information but are likely to
in the future.
·
1 in 4 used a
scorecard to compare doctor, hospital or health plan performance, up from 19%
in 2013.
·
34% strongly believe
doctors should encourage patients to raise questions
·
Almost half of
respondents(49%) most trust physicians as a reliable source of information on
treatments.
