Instead, archaic ‘one-size-fits-all’ cost sharing fails to acknowledge the differences in clinical value among medical interventions. Accumulating evidence concludes that cost-sharing increases lead to reductions in both nonessential and essential care, which, in some cases, leads to greater costs.”
