According to a recent report, the demand for physicians is growing faster than the supply,


leading to the following projected shortfalls by 2025:

  • Projected shortfall of between 46,100 and 90,400 physicians
  • Projected shortfall of between 12,500 and 31,100 primary care physicians
  • Projected shortfall of between 28,200 to 63,700 non-primary care physicians
