Reasons Behind Medication Non-Adherence

According to HealthPrize, 47% of patients said they would rather take out their trash than take their meds. 27% would rather get a shot. Nearly half of millennials said paying for gas for their car is more important than paying for their prescriptions. 20 percent of women say they'd be more likely to follow a prescription for their pet than for themselves. 25 percent of people say they feel old when they take their daily meds, while 10 percent admitted it made them feel sad or reminded them of their illness.
