The
National Center for Health Statistics recently released a study on health care
access by poverty level. Here are some key findings from the report:

40% of poor adults were uninsured in
2013, compared to 26.2% in 2015.

73.2% of poor adults had a usual
place to go for medical care in 2015.
|
•
|
3 in 4 poor adults had seen a health
professional in the past year in 2015.
|
•
|
16.8% didn't obtain medical care due
to cost in 2013, vs 12.4% in 2015.
|
•
|
3 in 4 near-poor adults seen a health
professional in the past year in 2015.
|
•
|
11.7% of not-poor adults were
uninsured in 2013, vs 7.7% in 2015.
