According to a recent survey:


  • 74% of Americans have regular doctors who provide most of their care
  • 22% say at that least once in the last two years, they needed health care but could not see their regular provider
  • 17% of those who were unable to see their regular provider when needed, say they were not able to obtain health care from a different doctor.

Of the 80% who were able to get care elsewhere:

·         70% went to an emergency room

·         60% saw an urgent care center

·         56% saw a different doctor at their regular doctor's office

·         37% went to a different doctor's office or clinic

·         27% went to a retail or drug store mini-clinic
