The CDC recently released estimates from the 2015 National Health Interview Survey. Here are some key findings on physical activity from the report:

21.1% of adults met
the guidelines for both aerobic and muscle-strengthening activities in 2015.

Half (49.5%) of U.S.
adults met the 2008 federal physical activity guidelines for aerobic activity.
·
43.9% of Hispanic
adults met the 2008 federal physical activity guidelines for aerobic activity.
·
Over half of
non-Hispanic white adults (53.3%) met the guidelines aerobic activities.
·
44% of non-Hispanic
black adults met the 2008 federal physical activity guidelines for aerobic
activity.
·
At all age groups,
women were less likely than men to meet the guidelines for aerobic activity.
