According to a recent survey of nurse practitioners and physician's assistants:

• 74% of survey respondents reported being satisfied or very satisfied with their current work environment.
• Only 5% reported being very dissatisfied.
• 83% plan to continue as advanced practice providers through 2013
• 40% plan to retire within the next 10 years
• 60% of nurse practitioners and 47% of physician assistants plan to retire within the next 15 years.
