When it comes to the narrow physician networks insurers may use for products on exchanges, “There is not enough supply of physicians, advance-practice nurses or physician assistants within the market for certain services. It’s not like there is a significant number of providers looking to fill unmet capacity, so they’d be willing to discount [prices] in return for more volume. A lot of places are full already, and it’s hard to get people in today.”
