Quote of the Day

“When it comes to understanding [the Affordable Care Act] and the eligibility and subsidy rules [for exchanges], my fear is that [navigators and in-person assisters] are just not going to be qualified or experienced. When you work with an agent and broker, you know what you are getting and you know that that person has to follow state rules and education requirements to keep the license. I’m concerned that someone working at a community organization with no background in insurance will be working with people who have never had insurance.”

— Christopher Condeluci, an attorney with Venable LLP who served as tax counsel for the Senate Finance Committee when the ACA was written, told AIS’s Inside Health Insurance Exchanges.
