78% Say Healthcare Benefits Factor into Employment Decisions


Collective Health adn Harris Poll recently conducted a survey on employee perspectives on employer-sponsored health insurance. Here are some key findings from the report:

·         When deciding on a new job, 78% said healthcare benefits would factor into their decision.

·         57% said they would not take a job with a company that didn't offer competitive healthcare benefits.

·         Among employed Americans, 60% are unprepared for an out-of-pocket medical expense of $5000.

·         63% of employed Americans are confused by health benefit options available to them.

·         3 in 5 U.S. adults have been confused by a bill they've received from a healthcare professional.

·         70% of parents with a child in the home said they were confused versus 57% without a child.
