According to a recent CDC report, in 2014:


  • The mean number of days that an adult worker spent in bed in the previous 12 months was 4.2
  • Men spent 3.1 days in bed, while women spent 5.2 days
  • The mean number of workdays lost per employed adult was 3.7
  • Men lost 3.5 workdays, while women lost 3.9 workdays
