The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation released an analysis regarding health coverage rates in children. Here are some key findings from the report:

From 2013 to 2014, the
number of uninsured children fell from 5.9 million to 4.9 million.
·
7.5% of children were
uninsured in 2013.
·
In 2014, the
percentage of uninsured children dropped 16% to 6.3%.
·
Rates of uninsured
children decreased most among Hispanics, non-whites and low-income families.
·
Half of the uninsured
children are in 6 states: Texas, California, Florida, Georgia, Arizona, and New
York.
·
In 2014, 34% of
children were enrolled in Medicaid while 59% had private coverage.
