According to a recent report, 74% of all deaths in 2013 resulted from one of the following top ten causes:


  • Heart disease: 23.5%
  • Malignant neoplasms: 22.5%
  • Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 5.7%
  • Accidents: 5.0%
  • Cerebrovascular diseases: 5.0%
  • Alzheimer's disease: 3.3%
  • Diabeters Mellitus: 2.9%
  • Influenza and pneumonia: 2.2%
  • Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome and nephrosis: 1.8%
  • Suicide: 1.6%
