Kaiser Family Foundation recently released an infographic on eligibility and coverage trends in employer-sponsored health insurance. Here are some key findings from the report:
·
The share of workers
with employer-sponsored insurance dropped from 63% to 56% between 2000-2015.
·
Fewer than half of
large firms offered coverage to same-sex or opposite-sex domestic partners.
·
In 2015, 97% large
firms (>100 workers) offered health benefits, compared to 54% of small ones
(3-49).
·
Among people under age
65, those with lower incomes were less likely to have health benefits.
·
5% of firms with more
than 200 workers reduced hiring full time employees due to health benefit
costs.
·
In 2015, firms with
fewer workers 26 years or younger were more likely to offer health insurance
(66%).
