Incarceration Marketplace Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a set of FAQs providing guidance on the definition of “incarcerated,” and “incarceration-pending the disposition of charges” for the purposes of Marketplace coverage eligibility.   The FAQs more fully explain these terms in relation to the various statuses an individual can have with the criminal justice system (e.g. released on bail, on probation or parole, etc).
