According to a recent survey, in 2014:


  • The overall weighted average increase in physician compensation was 2.8%
  • Compensation for primary care specialists decreased by a weighted average of 0.3%
  • Compensation for other medical specialties increased by a weighted average of 3.2%
  • Compensation for surgical specialties increased by a weighted average of 2.0%
