According to a recent report from the CDC, life expectancy in the U.S. in 2014 was as follows:


  • 78.8 years for the total population
  • 76.4 years for males
  • 81.2 years for familes
  • 81.8 years for Hispanics
  • 78.8 years for non-Hispanic whites
  • 75.2 years for non-Hispanic blacks
