"What physician engagement means to us is...

... a combination of putting the right incentives in place to reward doctors to improve both cost and quality and then working with doctors to help them change their behavior and the behavior of their practices to meet goals. We want to give them as much data as possible to help meet our goals....One of the things we've gotten much better at in the last four years is selection of the right providers and a better sense of who ultimately will want to do the work — is the group coherent? We're better at selection — we have made progress."

— Richard Barasch, CEO of NextGen ACO in Houston, told AIS's Value-Based Care News.
