Reminder for Agents and Brokers in the Federally-facilitated Marketplace: Registration Requirements

·         All agents and brokers must be licensed with the state, and registered with the Federally-facilitated Marketplace (FFM) if the state is an FFM state, at the time they are assisting consumers with enrollment in Marketplace plans.

·         If an agent or brokers uses their own NPN as well as the NPN of an agency to enroll consumers in Marketplace plans, the agent or broker must complete 2015 plan year registration according to our guidance for agents and brokers with more than 1 NPN:

(see Q/A #6).  Please note that this guidance regarding multiple NPNs applies only to plan years 2014 and 2015.

·         Part I of plan year 2015 registration (training, testing, and execution of FFM Agreements) will end Monday June 15; the Medicare Learning Network (MLN) will no longer host Part I of registration after this date.

·         Training for plan year 2016 registration will launch on a new web platform later this summer.  Please stay tuned for additional guidance from CMS regarding plan year 2016 registration.
