ProPublica recently published an analysis on doctors taking industry payments from pharmaceutical and device companies. Here are some key findings from the report:

66% of physicians
nationwide took industry payments in 2014.

8 in 10 doctors
working at New Jersey hospitals took payments in 2014.
·
Less than 3 in 10
Kaiser Permanente doctors took a payment in 2014.
·
Vermont had the lowest
rate of industry interactions at 19%.
·
For-profit hospitals
had the highest rate of payments to doctors at 75%.
·
Federally owned
hospitals had the lowest payment rates at 29%.
