This weekly email summarizes the content of emails distributed by CMS to agents and brokers during the preceding week to keep you up-to-date on the Federally-facilitated Marketplaces (FFMs).

 

As these sent emails are not posted publicly, to retrieve the complete email messages, use these email subject lines, dates of receipt (noted in parentheses), or keywords derived from the summaries to search for them in your email account. Have questions about MLMS closing for plan year 2016? (July 6)

For answers to your questions about the MLMS closing, check out the “Myths and Facts about the Closing of the MLMS” on the Agents and Brokers Resources webpage. Remember: Plan year 2016 FFM registration and training for agents and brokers will close on July 15 at 11:59 AM Eastern Time (ET) and it is right around the corner.

 

Registration Not Complete: Agent/Broker needs to complete ID proofing (July 6)

Remember: Your plan year 2016 FFM registration is not complete until you complete ID proofing. To complete identity proofing, log in to your CMS Enterprise Portal account, then click “Complete Identity Proofing” on the Agent/Broker Registration Status page and follow the prompts. For additional information, visit the Agents and Brokers Resources webpage where you will find a number of links and documents that will help you to learn more about registering to participate in the FFMs for plan year 2016.

 

Upcoming Webinars on Plan Year 2017 FFM registration and training requirements (July 5)

In July and August, CMS will present a total of eight sessions of two different webinars on plan year 2017 FFM registration and training requirements: one webinar for returning agents and brokers, and another for agents and brokers who are new to the FFMs. To register for one of these webinars, please log in to www.REGTAP.info. Agents/Brokers: Information on recent MLMS upgrade and use of vendor confirmation code (July 5)

The MLMS Profile Page for Agents and Brokers was updated last week as part of a system upgrade deployment. This update removed the grey confirmation code box from the MLMS Profile Page, into which agents and brokers who completed plan year 2016 FFM training with a CMS-approved vendor were instructed to enter a confirmation code they received from the vendor via email.

 

Agents and brokers who complete plan year 2016 FFM training with a CMS-approved vendor until the MLMS goes dark on July 15, 2016 at 11:59 AM ET will receive instructions from the vendor and MLMS staff on how to record their completion of the training curriculum in the MLMS and access the FFM Agreement(s) without using the confirmation code.
